Two more journals have posted the articles to their Fall editions: Economics and Government and Journal of Peace Research.
Mark Crescenzi et al.'s piece in the JPR is a neat follow-up to Crescenzi's solo piece in the AJPS from half a year ago. It introduced an index for extra-dyadic information. The argument is that this extra-dyadic information is relevant for states in a dyad to assess the reputation of the other state. Very neat and theoretically important it is indeed. Jacob Kathman (U Mississippi) and Stephen Long (Kansas State) have a working paper (PDF) out that uses this score to predict the duration of wars, arguing that states with a reputation for violence are not credible bargainers. Also a very neat argument.
